According to Rossi et al. (1985) the muscle spindle afferents project to the Pukinje cells via mossy fibers, granule cells, parallel fibers, basket cells and the inhibitory synapses on Pukinje cell somata to affect on the disinhibition of lateral vestibular nucleus from the Purkinje.
However they agues that the high-threshold cutaneous receptors such as Patini or paciniforms rather than muscle spindles are likely to project to the Purkinje neurons.
